EBENEZER CEMETERY DIRECTORY
Ebenezer has begun a cemetery directory project. Anne Jones Staten and Kate Stewart, direct descendants of charter members Andrew Jones and Major Robert McBryde, began the project by listing the names of all of those buried in the cemetery by rows. An on-going work, the directory will also contain an alphabetical list and other data. Pray that this directory will bring glory to God for his providential care of Ebenezer for 168 years.
AL HERRINGTON SUPPLYING EBENEZER
Steve and Dianne Hill completed their minsitry to Ebenezer at the end of March. The Session asked Al Herrington, and ordained minister from the PCA, to fill the pulpit for the congregation. Al serves the Lord in a variety of areas, one of the most interesting being his Bible and Bees Ministry; his wife Joan shares these ministries with him. And, yes, the honey is GOOD! Ebenezer is greatful that Al and Joan have been worshipping with us for almost two years, and the congregation thanks God for sending them to us.
EBENEZER WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS
Ebenezer welcomes John and Betty Childers and Glen and Robbie Duckworth into our church family. Betty and Robbie have had ties to Ebenezer throughout their lives, so this is essentially a homecoming for them. John and Glen are no strangers to us either. These fine folks have been with us for some time now, and we are thankful that the Lord led them to us. The Session received John, Betty, Glen, and Robbie by transfer of letter.
A DISTINCT BLESSING
Having Ian and Jacquie Allan with us for several weeks was a blessing to Ebenezer and the community. Their presence reminds us of our noble Seceder roots in Scotland. During their time in the United States, the Allans and Al and Joan Herrington visited the Wood Avenue Church in Monticello, AR. There Ian preached a fine sermon to the members of the church and a good number of people from the community.
Let us give God thanks for his blessings to us.
Continue to pray for Nancy Cox as she recovers from her surgery.
CHURCH STEEPLE REPLACED
Ebenezer has a new steeple. A windstorm demolished the former and caused some roof damage. Pictures of the replacing of the steeple are below.
